Janet lives in a small village near Helmsley, North Yorkshire. She has always enjoyed books and spent many happy hours in libraries reading and researching.
The adventures of Freddie and Charlie Books started in the spring of 2024 after reading a book on Writing Children’s Books, which then inspired her to make notes and funny sketches that looked a bit like ducks and small children.
After completing a Diploma in Creative Writing, A Book of Baby Birds was written for her grandchildren. The book is about two brothers and their adventures. The boys enjoy learning about nature and are always curious.This delightful book shows that even a walk in the park can be an adventure, learning about birds and their babies.
The book was self published in March 2025 with her pen name I.S.Thomas. She plans to write a series of F & C books, the second book due to be published Spring 2026.
